Officially, the Christian Church was born in AD 30, right on the day of Pentecost, the Church has since undergone a series of events for and against to the present.
The history of the Christian Church begins with the period of the Apostolic Church. You so called because the twelve apostles were in front of it.
The Apostolic Church period ranging from 30 AD until 100 AD, and may be divided into four stages or periods, which are:
- Pentecostal Church
- growing church
- the church among the Gentiles
- dark age
quickly see the time of the Pentecostal church:
It has been called "Pentecostal" because it was precisely on the day of Pentecost when the Church was opened.
The Book of Acts of the Apostles tells us that when the followers of Jesus (one hundred twenty) were gathered together praying, the Holy Spirit came upon them in a wonderful way.
This shows the importance of prayer meetings in the Church. Unfortunately today most of the pastors and leaders are more concerned with concerts, gatherings, etc., That the prayer meetings, forgetting that the Holy Spirit always come in a wonderful way limited to those congregations from their saturated schedule of activities, we engaged a prominent place to the prayer meetings.
is logical that activities that promote healthy recreation to be undertaken, but without this leading to the neglect of prayer meetings.
Next week will continue with the time of the Pentecostal Church.
Blessings and keep up prayer meetings.
